Joe and Lori's 1970 Cutlass Convertible.

We bought the car nearly five years ago right here in Denver. Joe had been doing some searching on the net for one and very nearly went to Texas for one. Well we checked the Denver paper one last time and a new ad was placed for a bamboo yellow 1970 Cutlass. We went down to take a peek and decided we had to have it. Two days later it was in our driveway.

Some minor mechanical work was done that first summer and then a year later the major cosmetic changes started to take place. We got rid of the bamboo yellow, painted it a very nice bright red. Put a new top on and re-did the interior. This year more updates. we added the Olds wing on the trunk lid, new sport mirrors and a fancy striped hood. Some 17" wheels and low profile tires finish it off. Cool!!!

We have a wonderful time in the car and take that top down whenever we get the chance. It's the daily driver car for Joe and it gets out in the rain and yes, even in the snow once or twice. But that is why we bought it, to drive it. It turns heads and we have met so many people at stoplights. Of course everyone "used to have one" or " their Dad used to have one" we've all heard the stories and they are great.
