EARLY IRON FESTIVAL
The Club ventured down to the San Luis Valley for the 27th Annual Early Iron Festival. The show is held in a park in Alamosa Colorado. A tree lined green grass park was the setting for over 350 cars at this show. Gary Smith headed the caravan down on Friday for the 220 mile trip. We had 7 cars on the trip as well as 2 other couples along for the show. Friday we had the free dinner for everyone. Then Saturday was the show and banquet. See below for a special award that was presented to our club. Be sure and click the pictures for bigger views if you like.
This was our pit stop in Walsenburg. By the way if you want to own a gas station this is the one, there wasn't a single pump that was empty.
Gary, Helen and Larry after having too many free beers.
Here we are waiting the great food as the band plays for the crowd.
Some lite cocktails to round out the evening at the hotel.

We gathered along with about 500 others for the Saturday night banquet of BBQ Beef and all the fix-ins.
The Rocky Mountain Olds Club was awarded the first "On the Road" award. We will pass this along to another lucky winner at our show and shine.
